Allow Pop-ups and Open Multiple URLs

Browsers block unexpected pop-ups to protect you, so they may stop a bulk URL opening task. Follow this guide to allow pop-ups for openurls.cc, then return to OpenURLs and try again.

Return to the bulk URL opener

Start with the blocked pop-up notice

If your browser just blocked new tabs, a pop-up icon or notice usually appears near the address bar. Allow pop-ups for this site from that notice for the quickest setup.

  1. 1Select the blocked pop-up icon or notice beside the address bar.
  2. 2Choose the option to always allow pop-ups and redirects from openurls.cc.
  3. 3Return to the tool. If the blocked notice remains, select Allowed pop-ups, retry.

The pop-up control in mobile Safari may be a global setting. Use care when visiting other websites if you turn blocking off.

Still blocked after allowing pop-ups?

  • Make sure permission is granted to the domain you are using. If you use another domain or a local test site, allow that exact host separately.
  • Ad blocking, privacy, or security extensions and managed browser policies may still block tabs. Check extension settings and browser policies.
  • Reduce the batch size and test Open next batch in manual mode. Browsers may limit how many pages can open in a short time.
  • Automatic mode opens later batches on a timer. Some browsers restrict openings not triggered by a direct click more strictly. Allow pop-ups for this site and test manual mode first.

Menu names may vary by browser version. If tabs still do not open, consult browser help or try another browser. OpenURLs cannot bypass browser, extension, or device policies.

Pop-up permission FAQs

Does allowing pop-ups affect other websites?

You usually only need to allow pop-ups for openurls.cc. You do not need to disable blocking for every website. Revoke the permission from the same settings page when you wish.

Does this setting control automatic tab closing?

Not entirely. Pop-up permission mainly affects opening new tabs. Closing tabs follows separate browser controls, and a redirect may prevent OpenURLs from closing a tab it opened.
