Privacy Policy

This policy explains how URL lists are processed and stored in your browser when you use openurls.cc, what operational information the site may receive, and who handles data after your browser visits a third-party website.

Updated: September 28, 2026

1. How URL lists are handled

URLs you paste are parsed and organized in the current browser page. They are not uploaded through an OpenURLs form or API. The page checks URL formats, adds HTTPS to domains without a scheme, identifies duplicate links and invalid lines, and follows your batch settings to open links in order.

When you choose to open links, your browser visits the destination websites directly. A destination may receive the complete URL, including its path and query parameters, and may record visit information under its own rules.

2. Website operation data

The website server and hosting provider may process routine request information, such as IP address, browser type, access time, and request path, to operate the site, protect it, and troubleshoot issues. This information does not include the URL list pasted into the page.

3. Browser local storage

To restore your work after a refresh, the homepage tool saves the input URLs, opening mode, batch size, interval, automatic close and removal options, queue progress, and opening history in localStorage in the current browser. Records may include URLs, sequence numbers, opening times, and statuses.

This information is stored for the current browser profile and the openurls.cc origin. Saving it in localStorage does not automatically sync it to OpenURLs servers. When removal after opening is enabled, a link leaves the pending list, but its opening record may remain in history.

4. External websites and resources

When you open a destination URL, you leave OpenURLs and visit a third-party website. That site may collect visit data, use cookies, or require sign-in under its own privacy policy and security practices. Pages on this site also load Font Awesome icon styles from cdnjs, whose provider may receive routine browser request information.

5. Children and sensitive information

Do not put passwords, access tokens, private file addresses, identity details, or other sensitive information in a URL list. URLs can contain query parameters, so check for information you do not want to share with a destination before opening them. People with access to the same device and browser profile may also be able to view local browser data.

This website is not designed specifically for children. Minors should use it with guidance from a parent or guardian and follow applicable local laws and the age requirements published by destination websites.

6. Local identifiers and analytics hooks

The shared site script stores a site identifier in your browser for use by page scripts. The current shared script contains Google Analytics event hooks, but its analytics library loader is disabled; those hooks do not send your pasted URL list to Google by themselves. If analytics or another data use is enabled in the future, this policy will be updated accordingly.

7. Reviewing and deleting data

Use the tool controls to clear the URL list, clear opening history, or reset queue progress. Clearing the input list does not automatically delete saved opening records. To remove all local tool state and the site identifier, clear website data or localStorage for openurls.cc in your browser settings. OpenURLs cannot restore lists, settings, or records after they are cleared.

8. Policy updates

We may revise this policy when tool features, website operations, legal requirements, or security practices change. The updated text and date will appear on this page. Review this page from time to time for current information about how the bulk URL opener handles data.
